We are moving: Please note that from May 2012 this website address will no longer be available. From then the address for St Francis of Assisi Catholic Ramblers will be http://www.stfrancisramblers.ukwalkers.com. The new site is at an advanced stage of construction and from now on any new material will be put up on both the old and the new site so you can access it on either address. However it will be some time before all the historical photographs are on the new site as there are over 6,000 of them and it will take some time to get them all up. Your patience while this operation is in progress is much appreciated.
Welcome to the website of the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Ramblers Club.

Ann Milner's adventures on the way to Jerusalem: If you have visited this site before you may be aware already that a member of the club, Ann Milner, has undertaken a walk from Rome to Jerusalem and then on to Santiago and Muxia. Ann is now happily back in the UK. She has kept us informed of her dramatic and inspiring journey by a series of articles named "Postcards from the Edge 1 to 20". She has asked that the postcards be made available on the website but only to members of the club, so I have put a link in the current programme where paid up members can gain access to the reports. Just a gentle reminder that paid up members can see the current programme by extending the address of the club on the address bar of their internet browser with the characters "/your surname your membership number.htm". Use all lower case, no spaces and no inverted commas. So if your name were bloggs and the number on your membership card were 123 you would have in the address bar on your browser http://www.stfrancisramblers.org.uk/bloggs123.htm. This will take you to the website copy of the current programme and you will find a link to the Postcards from the Edge near the top of of the programme.
Just one little snag about this method of accessing the programme - there is a considerable time lag between you getting your membership card and the website manager being notified of your number. I am fairly sure that all the 2009-10 numbers are recorded and I have not yet deleted the 2008-09 numbers. If you have joined in membership year 2010-11 and cannot access the programme just e mail me at 30avarn@tfinnegan.org.uk giving me your surname and membership number and I will put up the necessary code to give you access to the programme.
